Building a six-classroom school, latrine block and borehole for 450 children โ 68% funded and counting.
Luwero is home to some of the warmest, most resilient communities we work with โ and also some of the most under-resourced schools in central Uganda. Right now, children in three neighbouring villages share a single crumbling structure that floods every rainy season.
HOT Foundation is building a permanent six-classroom school, a separate latrine block for boys and girls, a staff room, and a solar-powered borehole so pupils no longer have to walk two kilometres for water during the school day. Construction began in June 2025 and the classroom shell and roof are complete โ we are now raising funds for desks, doors, windows, the latrine block and the borehole.
Every contribution goes directly to material and skilled-labour costs. Our site team posts monthly photo updates so you can watch your donation become a wall, a window, a roof.
Thanks to your donations, the roofing works for all six classrooms finished this month. Doors and windows are next.
Construction crossed a major milestone with the classroom block walls fully raised, ahead of the roofing phase.
